Recently recovered FC & BoB veteran Bf109E for sale

I see in the latest edition of Australia's "Flightpath" Magazine (Vol 19, #1) that a Bf109E of JG5, shot down in Russia in 1942, is now for sale. The photo shows an intact aircraft. The W.Nr. is quoted as W.Nr.3523, which it says was built as an E-1 by Arado GmbH at Warnemunde in 9.39. It goes on to say that it was known to have flown in the French Campaign and the Battle of Britain, but gives no unit or details. I assume that as one strips down through the layers of paint, its previous unit ID and markings would be visible. Does anyone know anything more about the 1940 history of this aircraft, and what markings it may have carried at that time?

Thanx,

The aircraft has been well covered in magazines like Aeroplane Monthly, Classic Wings, Flugzeug Classic, Warbirds International to name a few.
