340 Sqdn - Spitfire IX - MK213 S/Ldr M Reeve Killed Ramrod 823 Collided with last over Namur and crashed off Ostend 02-May-44 329 Sqdn – Spitfire IX - MK582 Commandant P C DeG Fleurquin Ramrod 823 Abandoned off Dover Other sources says S/L Reeve Spitfire collided with Spitfire MK-917 , wich one off these statements is correct ? Hi Alain,
The aircraft of Sous-Lieutenant Marcel Reeve crashed at Gentinnes (Belgium) at about 16.40 h after he collided with the Spit IX (MK582/5A-F) of Commandant Fleurquin. This one tried to come back to his base, but he had to bale out over Dover. Rgds. |
