Exclamation Original Manufacturing blueprint Bf-109 E-3

Hello!

I'm looking for the bluerpints of the Bf-109 E-3 and so far I have had no luck . So I'm hoping someone at this most exelent forum can point me in the right direction

I have been told, that the drawings might be found in german archives, but how to get them, and what archives people are taking about, is a mystery to me

The drawings are to be used in creating a very accurate 3D model of the Bf-109 E-3 using lightwave

Hope someone can help me out!!

Regards Henrik F.

Hi,

There's been an extensive search for Bf 109E drawings, especially for the wings to be used in the rebuild of various full scale restoration projects around the world. To my knowledge very little, if anything of value has been located.

Best wishes
/Mikael

Re: Original Manufacturing blueprint Bf-109 E-3

Hi Mikael

Thanks for the reply and yes, I belive you are right about the wing. I have seen blueprints of the fuselage, tailplane and other small items, but not of the wings.

The first time I saw original blueprints of the Bf-109 E-3 was in the game called "Battle of Britain: Cliffs of Dover" made by Oleg Maddox and his team. They utilized these plans and showed them on their development updates of the game.

They can still be seen at this site:

http://www.airwarfare.com/Sims/IL2BO...s_aircraft.htm

I haven't been able to get info on these blueprints as it near to impossible to get into contact with the Maddox team.

If any can help in this matter it would be greatly appreciated.

I have also seen blueprints on ebay, but it seems, that these blueprints cover almost nothing of the areoplane it self, only small bits and pieces of equipment on it.

Just have to close with saying, that I have seen a thread in the wanted section of this forum, and another member says he has original manufacturing blueprints of the Bf-109 E-3. Also tried contacting him, but no luck so far..

Thanks for reading this post.

Regards Henrik F.

Re: Original Manufacturing blueprint Bf-109 E-3

Hello again!

Noone seems to have anything relating to the blueprints for the Bf-109 E-3, but I have managed to dig up something interesting myself.

This link: http://me-109.br.sites.uol.com.br/maine.htm takes you to a homepage, where a brazilian is making a replica of a Bf-109 G-2. He has acquired the blueprints for the plane from the Flugzeug-Union Süd, which is the preservation institute for Messerschmitt (now know as EADS).

Link to Flugzeug-Union Süd: http://www.fus-online.de/firmenporteng.html

I have written to this institute and hope to get some respons.

Thanks for reading

Regards Henrik F.

It's me again!

I got an answer from Flugzeug-Union Süd, and it's not good news for me. They only have blueprints for the Bf-109 G-6 and they only distributed these if you have a very good reason for needing them. In any case it's not the blueprints for the Bf-109 E-3 that I was looking for

I also got a pm from Liam alias bluebiggsey and he told me he didn't have any blueprints for the Bf-109 E-3, so it was just another wild goose chase

If anyone has any info on these blueprints for the Bf-109 E-3, don't be shy , please come foreward

We've have a project to help engineers rebuild the Bf 109 starting with the E. We currently have the Rumpf available (applicable to later Mks as well). Customers will be entitled to receive updates (including the wing when available) at a discounted rate - a way of saying thank you for supporting our project.

Those blueprints come private archive AFAIK, moreover they do not cover every aspect of the Emil. Yet they are sufficiently detailled if you are only interested in the larger parts. Some of the smaller parts are covered but not everyone of them.
That's all i will say about this set of plans.

Re: Original Manufacturing blueprint Bf-109 E-3

There is a set of engineering quality Russian drawings from a 119 page Russian report that is available on the internet. It seem to have been drawn after the imported 109E the USSR bought before the war.

It`s certainly not complete, but it seems to be very accurate in scale, and, freely available.

Example :
