I attach two pictures of a wheel of an american aicraft. Who can assist in matching it with its type? It must be a aircraft which came down in the near of Turnhout (province of Antwerp) at the north of Belgium. thanks ! |

Re: unknow wheel
Hayes made wheels for many different aircraft during the war. What is the wheels diameter and width?

Re: unknow wheel
dear friends
The diameter I did forget to figure out, but as I compare, I roughly say now 70 cm. I'll have to go back for exact measurements. In addition, I can already post a full view of the wheel, as asked. thaznks already for your interest. Grtz Herman |

Re: unknow wheel
Looks like it could be a wheel for a Stearman or the AT-6/SNJ/Harvard. The four cam locks hold on the wheel cover.
Here's the covers, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/T-6-T...spagenameZWDVW Regards, Mike Last edited by Revi16; 14th December 2007 at 15:47. |
