CC anti shipping survey

Hi all

I. I have been told that there was a commision that travelled to liberated harbor to look at the damage cause to axis shipping by CC. Does anyone know where this survey can be found.

II. In Andrew Hendrie's Canadian squadron in Coastal Command, there is refered to Peyton-Ward, D.V.: Coastal Command's War Record, 1939-1945. London, 1957. I have not been able to trace this. Can anyone help.

Captain D. V. Peyton-Ward was a liason officer between the RN and RAF. Finding a copy of the book maybe difficicult unless you can get your library to track down a copy. The National Archives at Kew has, I believe, all his reports and books too.

BTW not sure if that particular volume is part of his "THE ROYAL AIR FORCE IN THE MARITIME WAR" series but this lists the NA reference numbers for those volumes:

The book "A forgotten Offensive" by Christina Goulter makes reference to this report, its been a while since I read the book. I'll go through the refernces in the back and there maybe a NA reference in there.

Peyton-Ward Wrote Sholto Douglas's books "Years of Command" in the mid 1960's and I' ve seen the transcripts of these interviews for a future book.
Together with the graphs etc.,
