Re: Sturmovich recovered

Ed/Jan

This was a recovery from summer 2007. A full aircraft but in lots of parts. Crew were recovered though and finally put to rest.

Boris Osentisky was there (2min30) being interviewed. He is the President and founder of Aviarestoration - a group of companies that have recovered a significant number of aircraft from Northern Russia.

Sure more will occur during 2008!

regards

Mark

Re: Sturmovich recovered

Hello!

Mark. Do you know which regiment, where and when? At least give a hint. My computer lacks video sound totally (no card).

EDIT saw something. Pskovskaja oblast so definitely of interest to me. Green color (= ALG-5, A-24?) of the cockpit floor at 2:27 minutes especially so!

Cheers,
Kari

Re: Sturmovich recovered

Kari

As it was not a 'complete' aircraft recovery - it was only a quick conversation in passing. I believe it was a lot further south from you but Pskov region does ring a bell.

Next time I speak to Boris I will ask him for more info on serial number.

regards

Mark
