Re: Ju-88 Werknumber 140586

I have a loss list entry confirming the aircraft information except location, my entry identifies this as "Near Florenville". The pilot's name agrees, my list does not include the rest of the crew.

Best Regards,

Artie Bob

Re: Ju-88 Werknumber 140586

The KG 6 book shows the crash as 6 Km. north of Florenville ''Alle drei Besatzungsmitglieder finden dabei den Tod ''. The loss tables give Ff Ltn Walter Pollach, B Fw. Hermann Grupe & Bf Ogef. Alfred Krammer as killed. As regards Bm Ogef. Bernhard Recker he is showing as surviving the war and flying in the crews of Pollach and H.Richter both of 8/KG6. The loss lists in the book indicate that the Ju88S were operating with three man crews at the time. Incidently Ltn pollach is shown as injured on 5-Oct-43 in the crash-landing of Ju88S-1 140591 at Moorslede, no other crew shown

Which book would that be? Is it Jan Horn's "Wir flogen gen Westen", or is it the 2-volume work by AB Jansen that Chris Goss mentioned in a post a few months ago?

If it's the latter, any details about the book(s) would be appreciated.

Thanks and regards,
Leon Venter
