Another photo of Hampden shot down at Kiel 7.40?

Hello,

Another photo sold on TOCH yesterday showed a fuselage of a British bomber alleged to have been shot down at Kiel by Marine Flak. (see my recent post about another Hampden shot down on 2.7.40). This one has the code EAo? Can anyone ID a candidate for this loss?

Thanx,

Hi Larry
The only 49 Sqn loss I can find in Chorley Vol 1 is Hampden I, L4077, that ran out of fuel from a Gardening op to the Baltic and crashed nr Hunstanton, Norfolk with all the crew surviving.
Forgot the date-20-21 Jul '40

Alex,

Your candidate looks right from the circumstances and the crash photo.

Thanx,
