Me 109 France July/August 1944
Hello
My father found this plaque during summer 1944 in Compiègne forest among that he believe a Me 109 parts. http://www.hiboox.com/lang-fr/image....g=hcq4fi08.jpg Two pilots of the 9/.JG1 were down in this area: Franz Koplik (8.2.1944) and Max Lau (8.5.1944). Is it possible to know if this plaque was a part of engine of one of them? Best Regards |

Re: Me 109 France July/August 1944
Must be the lid of a Graetzin Kraftstoff-Förderpumpe(fuel feed pump)for airplanes by Ehrich & Graetz factory, Berlin, license-fabricated by Süddeutsche Bremsen AG, München.
Could be part of a DB 605. Regards RolandF |

Hello
I agree and the plane would be a ME109 G6. It was this model for Koplik and Lau... Regards |
