Details, details...
Greetings!
Have seen the well-known profile of Hans Dortenmanns aircraft during his Normandy tour, and there is one thing bothering me. If I remember correctly, 2 JG 54 was sent to Normandy 6.44, and became a part of III Gruppe in August. I have seen photos of the aircraft, but none of them showing the III Gruppe bar, though it did carry the III Gruppe badge. Could I be so bold, that I suggest the the picture is depicting Dortenmanns aircraft in August 44? Best Wishes! Angantyr
