Re: Kursk, the Air Battle

Christer Bergstrom's site says Spring 2008. Amazon.com moved it from Jan.2008 to May 15, 2008.

Re: Kursk, the Air Battle

do not take amazon release dates for real, they are often wayyy behind the actual release dates of books.

if Midland as publisher says January, I would rather believe them
anyhow, I am looking forward to this book as well as Denes second volume of his work about the air war in Bessarabia

cheers

Hello Denes!

Nevermind when your book will appear, its on my "to buy" list already
the first volume was very good and I am looking forward to Vol.2

and its good to have expenses spread a little over time, as my book budget was heavily burdened recently

cheers from Vienna

Re: Kursk, the Air Battle

The book arrived from Amazon.UK this week but all I have done is briefly scan it so far. One immediate observation is that there are no profiles in this edition

Re: Kursk, the Air Battle

Hello Del!

no book in the Ian Allan series by Bergström has any profiles in it;
nevertheless, they are a great read, although IMHO they are a bit expensive for the info they provide, because BC/RS nearly covers the same topics, and in some cases even feature the same text passages...

I am looking forward to receiving my copy though too, as the first two volumes have provided me with a very good read as said already...

if you are looking for profiles, BC/RS might be better, and Denes´ books on the air war in Bessarabia do have profiles in them as well, although not as good as the Tullis ones in BC/RS.

cheers
phil

Re: Kursk, the Air Battle

Phil,
You are indeed correct about the profiles. I confused the 2 series of books
