Re: Photos 7-9

These two photos show Oblt. Wolfdieter Huy's E-7, Stafellkapitän of 7./JG77, on which he flew at least from Februar utill May 1941.

Thanks Ed!

best regards,
Tomislav

Hi Tomislav

Are you sure about this information? The unit badge seems very similar to that of 2./ScgG 15 although the werk nummer is of Huy's emil.

Re: Photos 7-9

Hello Remi and Chris,

Several books and publications I have refer to this plane as Huy's 109. To me, the markings look more as white 2 (yellow should be a little darker).
Chris, you're right. The emblem really doesn't look like the "Wolfskopf" of the 7./JG77. I have no loss record for this WNr., so perhaps the plane really ended up with the 2./SchG 15?

best regards,
Tomislav

Re: Photos 7-9

Hi,

it`s a emblem of 5(S)/LG2. The plane was probably handed over to III/JG77 in Balkans or what is most likely they just took the engine`s cowling for some reasons from another plane.

Robert
