III/ZG26 missing Bordfunker

Gentlemen; On July 10th.1940 III/ZG26 was heavily engaged in air combat over the channel, during which they suffered the loss of 3 aircraft, a 4th bf110 returning to France 50% damaged. The bordfunker from this damaged A/C reportedly bailed out over the channel and was lost. I am wondering if anyone can provide the identity of this crewmember, and/or the pilot involved? Thanks. Dean.

Re: III/ZG26 missing Bordfunker

Hi, Dean

I think you would have to get the Namentliche Verlustemeldung for this person to appear. I can only confirm that a Bf 110 from III./ZG 26 were damaged 50% due to being attacked by fighters, and that one of the crew members were listed as missing.

I guess some of the BoB buffs here will come up with the answer.

Regards,
Andreas B

Re: III/ZG26 missing Bordfunker

Gentlemen: Thank you both for your reply. Soren, I am familiar with Uffz.Geishecker's incident, although your site does provide some detail which I had not been aware, thank you. Andreas, although I've seen reference to the Namentliche Verlustemeldung on the forum before, I'm not really famaliar with it. Could you provide the website please? Cheers. Dean
