website for JU 88 D-1 D7 + DK crashed in Beara - Ireland July, 23rd 1943

I've learned today that even the Irish experts havent found or explored this website until today.
As its content is very detailed and properly researched i'd like to recommend to have a look.

The owner of the site started his researches as a common reader of "FlyPast" in 1983 and is still busy gathering more data of the aircraft and its crew.
After several visits to Ireland and the UK, with the help of authorities and valuable helpers in Ireland, England and Germany, collecting data and compiling them, he tells us the story of the doomed crew and the plane as if he was with them in those days.

Please, be invited to visit: http://www.hoelti.de/auschner/index_e.htm

PS: as i got to know he did this all on his personal expense with no prior relation to the subject, crew or Ireland in particular - just a volunteer as many here.

Not correct, a member who posts on this forum contributed research when Herr Holterhoff was in Ireland over 25 years ago and identified for him the unit codes from Irish Militay documents.

Having experienced a surprising stream of visitors today I would like to ask for help.
As we are German and our English needs some polish.

If you are willing and able to assist the author in transforming a rough translation of the German scripts into good English get in touch please.

Please contact maxxl2u2 (at) freenet.de.

I was refering to what Dennis Burke wrote me today. I respect him as an expert with a wide knowledge base. He touched Herrn Holterhoff's website for the first time today.

A search in the archives here didnt show any result either.

If you have a contact with the forum member you mentioned above, please ask him to visit the website and contact "hoelti" directly.
