Mysterious St.G. code

Bonjour,

I enclose a photograph of Ju 87 R-2 wearing the "raven" of I./St.G. 1 which became II./St.G. 2.
But the code puzzles me. It looks like "S4" or something like that (see the close-up), with the first character rather rounded (C, G, S...) and the second rather sharp-edged (4 would fit in exactly).
Any clue?

Merci d'avance.

Chris

Hi,

I have the same impression - just "1" with long "nose".

Long "1" is rare but maybe this oprions work as well there is also not all "4" with enclosed inside shape.
