Migration successful

Friends,

It looks like the migration was successful.

I didn't plan the migration on Boxing Day, but the tests progressed into the actual switchover.

The production tests seemed to have uncovered all the remaining issues, but there may always been something left out. If so, just use this thread to report your findings.

As a side note the migration may solve the problems some people are having with their registration. More on that later.

Thank you for your patience!

Re: Migration successful

Too soon to tell if it is any better.

The tooling and setup is different and I may need an upgrade, but that doesn't need another migration.

But I do hope that the IP-range doesn't suffer the same spam blocking that the Lycos servers had.

Time will tell.

Initial response feels a little slower.

Re: Migration successful

As I am getting to grips with the new Webhost I get the feeling that it is superior in many areas, although the tools are a little less user friendly.

My remaining worry is speed.

Re: Migration successful

You can speed up if you set up search to be over the Google engine and will left server traffic intact. Anyway I do not see any problem with load of pages [if my opinion mean anythuing].

Cheers
