Re: N/F Claim confirmation PtII
First one according to Chorley was lost without trace. There were 2 claims for Stirlings that night-your man Schönert claimed one at Aurich at 0207 hrs whilst Ofw Wilhlem Beier claimed another at 0301
W7503 came down at Wieringer-Meer at 0039 hrs due to nightfighter which matches perfectly with Becker's claim |

Re: N/F Claim confirmation PtII
Chris,
Thank you for this, Bill Chorley indeed says lost without trace, however that does not rule out Schonert. Many a crew went down in the drink the victim of a night fighter. Regards Steve

Re: N/F Claim confirmation PtII
Steve: I am aware of that possibility but Schönert apparently gives a precise-ish location

Have you any details on an enounter on 27/28th June, target Bremen. Sergeant Falconer was attacked and R9333 HA-F extensively damaged by a night fighter, the instrument panel, turret controls and airframe all were hit, the bomb load was jettisoned at 01.30hrs 3 miles S.E of Makkam. Any ideas. ? Regards Steve
