W R Chorley
Hi Guys,
Can anyone tell me if W R Chorley DFC (Ex 622 Sqn Pilot, RAF Mildenhall 1944) is the same guy who produced the Bomber Command Losses we use so much? Alan F |

Re: W R Chorley
Hi Alan
I don't think so . In another book by Chorley "In Brave Company" it records his year of birth as 1936 which would make him a little young to have served in the RAF in WW2. It mentions that he entered the Service in 1955. Given the Names and Initials it could be that you are looking at Father and Son Regards Dick Last edited by Ex Shack; 20th February 2009 at 00:06. |

Re: W R Chorley
Thanks for that,Dick. I appreciate your time. I think I will have to chase this around and get to the bottom of it. The Mildenhall Register is having its reunion on the 15-17th May at Mildenhall, and it would be nice to have the connection straight by then.
Thanks again Alan http://www.mildenhallregister.stirlingpilot.org.uk for details of the reunion. |
