Help!
Hi guys
Apart from screaming or shooting one's self, what do you do when your memory stick malfunctions? Brian |

Re: Help!
Um, curse the dark gods of the digital realm? Buy a new one?
Is it not registering when you put it in the USB port of your pc? |

Re: Help!
Wow! That was quick, Max
When inserted it just says malfunctioned. I've taken it to a couple of PC outlets and have been informed there's nothing that can be done to retrieve the data. It contains much information! Cheers Brian |

Re: Help!
I had a nightmare problem like this once when travelling, and I can only say 'keep trying'. I was told by the first three techguys I approached that (A) it was hopeless and (B) it was my fault for not using the 'SAFE TO REMOVE HARDWARE' tool.
Both statements were wrong because (A) techguy number four (Help Desk at PC World) recovered some of the data and (B) I always use the SAFE TO REMOVE... icon. Maybe this is after the horse has bolted, but the SAFE TO REMOVE HARDWARE tool is a must. Good luck! Bruce |

Re: Help!
At least this stick ios too cheap to make any trouble, you can always buy new one. But try to format this drive and it will work better.
