Attack on the 'Reculver'

Dear all,

On the morning of Tuesday 9 January 1940, the 683 ton Trinity House Motor Vessel ‘Reculver’ was attacked by a German aircraft whilst off the mouth of the River Humber, North East England. The aircraft made several runs over the vessel, dropping 3 bombs and strafing and very nearly sinking the ship. I would very much appreciate knowing the identity of the unit, crew etc that carried out the attack.

Thanks in advance

Jonny
