Trevor, yes that makes sense. I have a Police report for the incident but I think you will find that the actual site of the crash is now underneath the Bewlbridge Reservoir.

The aircraft was recovered just before Bewlbridge Reservoir was flooded but has always been a mystery aircraft. It has recently been sugested that it may be this aircraft. Regards Trevor |

Trembarth was a 354FS pilot slow timing a new engine in the 358FS Mustang YF-O Morphine Sue (McNally's ship).
He became disoriented in weather and spun out, bailing out at last moment. Trembarth later taken off flight ops and transferred to 65th FW as an aircraft controller. 0-2035180 1st Lt |
