Fw190D-9
Recently I read the book "One Boys War" by Richard Hough which had the attached photo taken by the author and recently deposited along with the copyright to the RAF Museum (I hope I haven't infringed the copyright by posting here). Unfortunately there isn't any information given as to it's location and I was wondering if any thing is known about the aircraft.

Hi Mike...
Its Fw190D-9, WNr.211118 coded "White 10+-" of 5./JG6 and was pictured at Halle-Nietleben. The same photo appears on page 144 of "Focke-Wulf Fw190D Camouflage & Markings, Vol 1" by M.Deboeck, E.Larger & R.Poruba [JaPo 2005]. Cheers Peter D Evans LEMB Administrator |
