For Bf 110 experts

Hello,

I am currently trying to identify a Bf 110 that has the following features:

  • 2xETC50 bomb carriers underneath each wing
  • Connection for a 300 liter drop tank
  • The MGFF seem to have been covered by fabric (maybe that was a standard practise so that nothing could get inside the blast tubes before the guns were actually used)
  • No additional windshield armor

After studying several books and many photos I came to the conclusion that it may be a Bf 110 E-0, E-1 or E-2. The F would have had the windshield armor and the C didn't have ETC50.

I thought that it may even have been a E-3 recon version (that had the MGFFs replaced by a camera) since the MGFF tubes were covered (as if they were not used) but then I couldn't find out whether Bf 110 E-3 were also equiped with ETC50 and drop tanks.

Is there a Bf 110 expert who could help?

Thanks!

Regards,
Roger
