Hi Joe,
according to Radtke the plane (Ju 88 A-4) was lost due to FLAK in Normandy during supply droppings for surrounded German troops. FF Komoss August Ofw MIA BO Sartena Gustav Fw MIA BF Vilimowsky Johann Fw MIA BS Dittrich Kurt Uffz MIA Hope this helps, Rudi. |

Thanks, Since posting, I have found that Ofw Komoss is buried in Tourgeville cemetery, also I have info from AIR2/8738, that the body of Fw Sartena, EM 67412/368, was found in the sea off Courseulles on 21/07/44, he had a Wallet containing, 4 Golden, 20 RM and an obituary notice, no grave listed by VDK, and not listed as being buried at sea, so where is he? I did not know if Vilimowsky and Dittrich had survived. Regards Joe |
