Bf 109 F-4 WNr 8904

Good day to all
For this plane Bf 109F-4 WNr 8904 I have
28.12.42 4/III/JG 5 100% shoot down by russian ground fire Fw Mend Arthur safe
and I have also
30.04.43 35% II/JG 5 landing accident at Alakurtti Finlande
Please where is the true ?

Hi.

Haven't got all my references here, but...

The GQM loss list state that the loss percentage for the aircraft is to follow - 'folgt'

Also, the VLM for Mendl does not imply a 100% aircraft loss, in fact the aircraft is not mentioned at all in the VLM. Also, the report state that Mendl was only lightly wounded in the head by MG fire.

Will have to consult some more references, but I do think we have to go a few rounds on this one.

Ahhh... but I have seen the holy grail! And it is painted RLM 76 all over with a large Mickey Mouse on the side, there is a familiar pilot in front of it and it has an Erla Haube!
