Battle of france help wanted

hello I am lloking for info on a crashed stuka that probably ,maybe participated in Battle of France ??
crahed 100 km south of Paris close to Chartres
both crewmembers unhurt (belly landing) I was told must have been 1940
are there any specialists of early stuka history???

Re: Battle of france help wanted

Phil,

That definitely falls within the parameters of the EOE project, but is far too vague to spend any significant time researching this. Is this based on a photo? If so, can you post it? What was the condition of the aircraft--a forced-landing, a full crash, did it burn out? All of the clues which could make a search productive are missing here. What more can you give us as clues?

Regards

you might need a metal detector to find the needle, but Peter Cornwell's The Battle of France: Then and Now has a daily listing of aircraft losses during the battle - using the comprehensive index, you could check the pages where each of the losses from Ju 87 units are listed til you find the one that matches your quest.
