London Air Museum
I gather this Museum ceased to exist in 1980.
Who were they and where did they come from? Dave |

Re: London Air Museum
Is that the one started by Paul Raymond (King of Soho). That had some aircraft bought from the Southend Air Museum when that closed.

Re: London Air Museum
The London Air Museum was an organisation run by Tony Graves and John Tickner and was established in a small farm outbuilding at St Mary Cray. The entire collection was purchased in 1981 by the embryonic Tangmere Military Aviation Museum, although much of that collection has since been dispersed.
You will find, by the way, a great deal of detail about their work in "Finding The Few". Shameless plug, I know, but then you did ask about them! The Paul Raymond museum was the Theatre of War at the top of Whitehall by Trafalgar Square. Now the Whitehall Theatre, I think? |
