102 Sq. 29/30 April 1940

On this date No. 102 Sq. Bomber Command made an attack on Fornebu Airfiels (Oslo, Norway). I have details of the one aircraft lost, but I would kindly ask for some info on this mission as well as details of the other 5-6 aircraft that took part.

Hi Seaplanes

If you want original sources I am of no help. As per Bomber Command War Diaries your resumé is correct, but also checking Fledgling Eagles I note that Shores at least indicates it was an attack at Oslo harbour and not only Fornebu airport. Both sources says six Whitleys made the attack.
Shores is quick to add that only five aircraft dropped bombs and they all fell on Fornebu (40 250lbs bombs in all).

Cheers
Stig
