Black sheep Squad

Dose anybody know anything about the Black Sheep Squ? I am trying to find info that one of the pilots wanted or had the pain remove from his AC so the Japs can better find him.

You could read "The Black Sheep: The Definitive Account of Marine Fighting Squadran 214 in the WWII" by Bruce Gamble. Though I can not recall any pilots "wanted or had the pain remove from his AC"

Yes, paint. Thx shooshoobaby, sorry mars.

I was watching "war stories with Oliver North", unless my hearing is bad. I could have sore that they said one of the pilots wanted or had his corsair's paint remove to have only the metal surface exposed. So the Japs can see him better.

I did not recall any such a case in that book either

Robert Conrad is the actor who played the rôle of Pappy Boyington in the famous TV series "Baa baa Black Sheep".

Oh, ok. i seen the show but never really learn who the actors are. Now as far to my question. can anybody verified it.
