Fw 190D pilots.

I know the Dora went into service with III/JG 54 in September, I believe, 1944, and later it was sent to other units. I was wondering if anyone had any information on some of the more successful pilots who flew that plane. Primarily who was the most successful Dora pilot. I don't know if this information is available, but I would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you.

Re: Fw 190D pilots.

Krichter:

I don't have too many sources at home but according to Petr Kacha's site, Hans Dortenmann was the highest scoring pilot in the Dora:

http://www.luftwaffe.cz/dortenmann.html

However a number of other pilots scored substantially flying the Dora as well like

Anton Hackl as commander of II/JG26;
Waldamar Soeffing;
Peter Crump;

I am drawing a blank on other names, but I & II/JG26 had a number of younger pilots who arrived later in the war & managed to score a number of victories while trying the D-9...but like I said above my sources are not at home & my memory 'ain't what it used to be...'
