Verdun 1916. Stalingrad was a lesson not learned. They say the old World War I trench rat Corporal Adolf Hitler was too arrogant to learn from history and these photos are the proof of that.

Yes, its sad, but ex-SS veterans are national heroes there, and those who fought nazis are not pleased by own goverments. It is sad, but thruth.

It is understandable with Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia as they were not so nicely occupied by the Soviets.
