Fw. Xaver Moerz, member of JG 3 Udet, KIA in 1945 at 55
According to the enclosed Death Card, this Fw - member of JG 3 Udet - fought both in WW 1 and WW 2, and died at the age of 55.

The time is interesting to me. At this date the German 3rd Reich was in a total disarray, so when was the card issued, at the time of his death or much later? Denes I doubt he was in a flying capacity in JG 3 B Rgds Stig |

Stig,
I would say the card was printed sometimes after the war, as 1945 is already given as the war's end. I also think it's very unlikely that he was a flyer at 55, but never know, desperate times call for desperate measures. That's why my interest in this particular Luftwaffe man.
