USAAF raids over Eastern Europa/Balkans

Hi everybody

Am trying to pin down exactly when Friedrich Obleser claimed his B-17 in June to August 1944. I think the likely date is 11th June 1944, but cannot be sure unless there were no other raids using B-17's.

So basically am looking for USAAF B-17 raids in Eastern Europe & Balkans June-August 1944.

There is a good source for the MAIN USAAF raids to various European targets in the book by Eric Hammel, Air War Europa. Air you familiar with this source?

Hi

Thanks for the info. This would be a guy called Ernst Stengl at 0955hrs of Obleser's exact Staffel 8./Jg52, I do suspect this would be the date, it was unconfirmed. Most other raids were with the B-24.
