Trying to find out more - pilot/aircraft
Hi
Trying to find out a bit more on this for a relative. Unfortunately little time this weekend due to birthday parties etc. John Kenneth Williams pilot officer, no. 161058, RAFVR, 514 Sqdn, Killed 22/01/1944 buried in Stavoren general cemetary Bit more on the pilot/crew?, mission and squadron would be a great help. regards Mark |

John K. Williams was on board of Lancaster DS824 on a mission to Magdeburg. All seven crew members were killed when the bomber crashed in the IJsselmeer (formerly Zuiderzee). They were P/O J.K.Williams, Sgt James R.Keenen, F/S Leslie N.Millis, F/O Albert Henshaw, F/S Wilbur H.Chapman, Sgt Arthur Pratt and F/S Ernest A.Lane. Regards, Leendert |
