help in identifying this beach

this was taken by my Grandad, believe it to be N Africa possibly Libya, but i am unsure, can any one help

It doesn't appear to be a harbor at all.

That's the beachhead at Les Andalouses

Pictured is the beachhead at Les Andalouses in Algeria. (Code Name: Yorker Beach) The 26th Regimental Combat Team came ashore there as part of the Center Task Force during Operation Torch with the final objective being Oran. (See map)

The picture was taken looking southeast towards El Ancor.
