P-38J night kill with 547th NFS
On 9 January 1945, one night kill was shared between an exprimental P-38J (equipped with APS-4 AI) and a P-61, both belonging to 547th NFS.
In his "Victory List #3" Frank Olynyk states that one was flown by Capt E.C. Annis and the other by 1/Lt R.E. Oakes. However, I cannot sort out who was the P-38J pilot. Can anyone help? Thanks. Chris |
