confused by a Plane...

" A1+AZ (the Savoia SM.75) took off from Kalamaki”

This is what a colleague wrote to me. The concerning date is 1944-03-10. "A1" would indicate the KG.53 but this unit was not in Greece (this is what another colleague told me). And whay would that Italian plane have German markings.

Hope that anybody here in this forum has the details....
