Question Ammunition relic identification

Good evening,

Here is a picture of an ammunition shell found recently on the crash site of a
german's fighter in the south of France.
Does anybody can identify the gun's type that was using this munition ?

Thanks in advance.

Vince

Too few pictures or at least dimensions. I guess it's 20x82 with electric primer from MG 151/20 cannon. www.municion.org/20mm/20x82Electric.htm

Re: Ammunition relic identification

Vince,

auj - is the manufacturer: Polte Armaturen und Maschinenfabrik A.G., Werk Grüneberg (Nordbahn), Schlesien
42 is the year of production: 1942
The remaining two marks would be the production batch and steel mill code.

The latter two would require further confirmation.

Regards,
Sinisa

Re: Ammunition relic identification

Two possibilities MG 151/15 or MG 151/20. We should see the complete shell.

Re: Ammunition relic identification

Hi all,

Thanks you for your responses.

Here are some new pictures that should help identifying
the exact type of munition (MG151/15 or 20).

The plane it is coming from should be a FW190 but i don't know
exactly what version. is it possible that it is an MG FF munition shell ?

Rgds
