hi all,
He111 WNr 2234 was coming from Barcelona area. After having been chased by republican fighters, it crossed the french border, dropped its bombs near Formigueres (France), then flew from east to the West (Ax les thermes), and finally crashed at 2h15 on 25 Jan 1939 above Arrens. Crew was: Pilot Lt. Claus Bötker. other crew members: Uffz. Fritz Seiler, Uffz. Armin Möller and Ufz. Otto Adler. all killed; Newspapers at that time reported a spanish officer on board and the following markings on the aircraft: N-A-O-Y-E-R and "Hamburg Allon (orth?) GDN" on rudder. Any information is welcome. GC |
