Sicily anything Luftwaffe related to be seen?

I'm going to the island on a weeks vacation, and wondered if there is anything to be seen of former Luftwaffe airfields, costal defences and so on?

Mister Junker,
if You are a diver, I can suggest a Ju.52 at Sferracavallo (Palermo) and a Ju.88 at Augusta (Syracuse). Another plane is in front of an smaller island. Except several little bunkers on the south coast near Agrigento, and the Navy museum at Augusta base(where there is an engine of the Ju.88), I can't remember anything else. Regards
Scipio

Yeeaaaah, the "beautiful girlfriend" will like it ! Better follow Remi advice or going there "alone without" than "alone with..."

I agree with Jinklo: you can try to visit Castelvetrano airfield; after you can go to see the Selinunte temples 12 Km away (and so your girlfriend will be happy).
I will be there from 28 oct to 2 nov, fell free to contact me.

Have a good travel

Francesco

Re: Sicily anything Luftwaffe related to be seen?

Thank's for all the advices, but I prefered to be with my girlfriend going around in the western part of Sicily. beatifull landscapes but the food was of very mixed quality. The most expencive meels were not very good:-(. It was really a challenge to drive a car there.
