Re: PH-APL ... a ducht experimental plane...

PH-APL was a Fokker C.1 (c/n 527) with a specially designed propellor, an invention of Adriaan Dekker. Registered on 15.4.1937.
It appears that the plane did lift off while making taxi runs at Ypenburg airfield (The Hague).
Seized by the Germans on 18.5.1940.

Regards,

Leendert

All

Just one correction. The digits 527 is NOT any Fokker c/n. It is the former LVA serial number. Unfortunately no c/n is yet known for this aeroplane

Cheers
Stig

Excuse me for digging this topic up... An interesting picture of this interesting aircraft is now on sale: http://cgi.ebay.de/FOTO-Beute-FLUGZE...item20b4e5f976

It was found by German forces on Waalhaven, in 1940.
