b-24 (42-50491) goes down 12/27/44
Would anyone have information on what happened to this plane? My uncle died on it and we never found out details. Only engine trouble crashed in channel. Three of the ten lived. thanks

Thanks. I have seen that page before and 446 bg page etc. I came across a 2008 post on 12 o'clock high where a members dad was on that plane also. Read that post and hoped someone knew details. The pilot died 10 yrears ago and I haven't found anyone else alive still. Really wanted to know details for my family. Why some got out. Plane had been in 2 other b groups, so was plane lemon etc. Harry(my uncle) just lost his little girl in car wreck. Wife lost it and wanted divorce.
