With a little help.....

Gentlemen...

GCA-forum advised me to adress you. I'm looking for informations concerning:

- Ofw. Max Osterieder, who received the Honor-Goblet october 1942. I'm in
the possesion of this goblet.
- Ltn. Kurt Mirsch...2.Regiment Gen.Göring. (Flak). His Vitae, honors etc
- Uffz Helmut Mirsch,Kampfstaffel 2/806, KIA 14.09.1941 His Vitae, honors
etc.
Kurt- und Helmut Mirsch were brothers

I am gratefull for any help.

Avelde,

I have Ofw. Max Osterrieder receiving the EP on 2 Nov. 42 as a Bordschütze. If you are able to run down an Ehrenliste from that period you will be able to determine what branch he was attached to i.e. Bomber, Transport etc.

For Ltn. Kurt Mirsch I would try the following link they may have more info. on LW ground units.

14-Sep-41, , Ju 88A-4, 1202, n.n., , KGr. 806, , , , , CE+ZB, , Notlandung at sea. B killed, rest of crew rescued., B Uffz. Helmut Mirsch, , Lfl.1/Eins.Osten, Gen.Qu.6.Abt. (mfm #4)-Vol.6, , nicht gemeldet, 100%, F

Note 'CE+ZB' is the SKZ of the plane, not it's unit code. Given that machine was lost with Lfl.1, it likely went down somewhere in the Baltic off Leningrad or northern Estonia.
