Blenheim Crash Landing 25 May 40
I have a photo which came from a member of 15 Sqn showing a crash-landed Blenheim dated 25 May 40. According to BofF T&N, 15 Sqn only lost one over France that day so does anyone have details of any other Blenheims that might have crash-landed at Wyton on this day (40 Sqn?)

Re: Blenheim Crash Landing 25 May 40
Hi Chris
Just in case the date is in error ,15 Sqn lost a BlenheimIV,R3614, which spun in at Alconbury following an engine failure on 24 May '40.The Target had been the Aa Canal and the crash occurred at 2100hrs which could mean the photo was taken in better light the following day. The crash detail comes from Chorley BCL Vol 1.The crew:- F/O Henderson Sgt A N Holmes LAC Austin all died Regards Dick |

Dick
This aircraft is in one piece on its belly so would not match with an engine failure and subsequent spin in, methinks Chris |
