Bf109G-6 production line photo
Hello,
I am trying to identify the production batch of the G-6s seen in this photo. Time of the photo and location can provide such information. Peter Schmoll in "Nest of the eagles" speculated that the photo was taken in Regensburg in June 43, and the first 109 in the photo as W.Nr. 18462, stkz CH+IX (thanks to Roy-Magne Mo of Facebook for this info). I do not know how Mr. Schmoll identified the W.Nr. though as the number written close to the tail is not visible even in the high resolution scan of the negative. Does anybody have any other solid information regarding location and time? Source: Bundesarchiv Bild 101I-638-4221-06
