Oblt. Spangenberg Dietmar

Hi all!

I am looking for info and possibly also photo of Oblt. Spangenberg Dietmar. He was a Zerstorer and possibly also Nachtjaeger pilot. He died on 3. Oct 2003, so quite recently. I assume there may be someone in the community who communicated with him and may be of help?
Any info would be great to have...
Thanks a lot.
Regards

Peter

Re: Oblt. Spangenberg Dietmar

The information we have indicates that the name was:

SPANGENBERG, Dietmar.
(DOB: 16.01.21).
1942 in 4./ZG 1.
1943-44 in 6./ZG 76.
30.05.44 at FFS B 1.
1944 in I./JG 11.
30.11.44 Oblt., trf to 2./JG 11.

This is all we could find. We hope that this helps.

Re: Oblt. Spangenberg Dietmar

HI all

Another post that I would like to make alive...
ANYONE has been on contact with this man prior his death and canshare some information or even photo of him?
Would be much appreciated any information on:
- his leadership of Kommando sent to Romania in May 1944
- his ZG 76 era.
- any other Biographical data. I found him at JG 11 being twice shot down...possible any photo of him among JG 11 pilots?

THANKS!

Peter

In Jägerblatt 4/1986 there is mentioned Dietmar Spangenberg from ZG 1, who died on 10 Juni 1986. Has anyone any additional info?
