F.D. Schofield RCAF

I wonder if Sgt Schofield (R/77188 - 132 & 485 Sq. 1941, 601 & 602 Sq. 1942 ) and P/O Schofield (J/19292 - 19 Sq. 1944) is the same person.

The Schofield in 19Sqn is listed in the ORB as J D Schofield but it seems he was always known as "Dave".

Fighter Command Losses says F.D. Schofield, 19 Sq. And his full name was Frederick David Schofield.

Re: F.D. Schofield RCAF

The first records of his name in 19Sqn ORB give "J D Schofield" but further on the entries change to F D Schofield.

I suggest that you put a post on http://www.rafcommands.com/forum/index.php and hope that a man named Hugh Halliday responds he is a bit of an expert on RCAF personnel and records.

Yes, the same individual according to Paul Sortehaug & Phil Listemann in their great little book on 485 Sqn.

Sgt. Frederick D. Schofield (RCAF No. R/77188) was posted from 132 Sqn. to 485 Sqn. in Aug. 41. Posted to 602 Sqn. in Dec. 41.

Cheers,
Tom

Re: F.D. Schofield RCAF

Thank you Tom, but the question is if he is the same guy as the Schofield in 19 Sq.
