US Technicians in France/Africa 1940

Relating to the other Thread I just posted. Anyone have any knowledge of US technicians working in France or Africa assisting in assemblying & maintaining the US made aircraft sold to France? I assume these would be civilians contracted from the manufactoring companies which built the aircraft.

Thanks again for any information or leads that might be offered.

Not sure about the French connection but Douglas contractors did indeed assemble and repair aircraft in Africa. When you get a moment try google for Project 19.

Nice write up on Project 19. Looks to be later than the Casablanca connections with the French but very interesting.

Many of the DB-7s delivered to the French were assembled and received French equipment in Morrocco, though I do not know what role US contractor personnel played in this.
