US Technicians in France/Africa 1940
Relating to the other Thread I just posted. Anyone have any knowledge of US technicians working in France or Africa assisting in assemblying & maintaining the US made aircraft sold to France? I assume these would be civilians contracted from the manufactoring companies which built the aircraft.
Thanks again for any information or leads that might be offered. |

Not sure about the French connection but Douglas contractors did indeed assemble and repair aircraft in Africa. When you get a moment try google for Project 19. Buz |

Nice write up on Project 19. Looks to be later than the Casablanca connections with the French but very interesting.

Many of the DB-7s delivered to the French were assembled and received French equipment in Morrocco, though I do not know what role US contractor personnel played in this.
