possible, but note the different date.

Bv 138D-1, 0311047, Knittel, Ltn.z.See, Hans (B)/Kopatzki, Fw. Klaus (F), 2.KüFlGr. 406, K6+BK, 28-Jul-43, MIA due to Luftkampf with Beaufighter from 404 Sq. (Keefe). 1 also other MIA, F, Bm and 1 other rescued by U-boat, which was in turn sunk on 4-Aug. F & Bm KIA, 1 other MIA., F POW?, Lfl.5/AtlantikGen.Qu.6.Abt. (mfm #11)-Vol.19, mm 5/77, p.33, PlQu. 06 037/14, FBf Uffz. Heinrich Hengst, Bm Ofw. Werner Henrich & Bs Uffz. Werner Mohlau

Ff Fw.Klaus Kodatzki missing, B Ltn. zur See Hans Knittell POW, Bf Uffz Heinz Hengst POW, Bm Ofw Werner Hennrich missing, Bs Uffz Werner Mohlau POW. The three POWs and all but one of the crew of U-489 survived the sinking of the U-Boot and were picked up by RN ships. U-489s Chief Engineer Oblt. Mude was mortally injured setting off scuttling charges and died after being picked up.
There was an Article in an old December Flypast on this (cant remember which year) by Chris Goss,
