Help ID a He-111

A friend of mine sent me a picture of an ID plate from what looks like a He-111 bomber:

http://www.fotosik.pl/pokaz_obrazek/...a696d6171.html

Could someone help me identify the plane, its crew, etc.. or where to look for those information.

Re: Help ID a He-111

If the 1600 is the actual aircraft WNr. and not from some part then:

He 111P-2, 1600, Weber, Oblt. Peter (B)/Hüsemann, Fw. Rolf (F), , , 7., KG 27, weiße K, 1G+KR, , , 14-Jul-41, Both MIA with crew, cause unknown., , Lfl.4/Eins.Osten, Gen.Qu.6.Abt. (mfm #3)-Vol.5; Waiss, Boelcke-Archiv, III, p.123, , Raum Smela, 100%, F, 2.F Uffz. Max Bayer, Bf Fw. Gerhard Tröger & Bm Fw. Heinz Baumbach, ,
He 111P-2, 1600, n.n., , , 7., KG 27, , 1G+KR, , , 16-Apr-41, Bauchlandung., , Lfl.3/Kanal, Gen.Qu.6.Abt. (mfm #3)-Vol.4; Waiss, Boelcke-Archiv, III, p.54; Foreman, 1941-The Turning Point, II, p.81, , Fl.Pl. Orleans-Bricy, 35%, F, ,

Re: Help ID a He-111

Thank you Jim.
The ID plate comes from an aircraft downed? over central Poland (that's for sure). According to my friend and some local rumors, it was lost in September 1939, but as I wrote, those are just rumors.

What is the meaning of P. Z. Nr. ? Or is it H 111 P / Z. Nr.?

Re: Help ID a He-111

I think Steve Polyak is your man for this query!

However, it looks like a Werke Nummer build plate to me, but I stand to be corrected.

I would suggest a "translation" of the inscription: He 111 P Z Nr : = He 111-P (type) and Z Nr = Zeichen Nummer.
